Smoke Bitten – Patricia Briggs

It never just rains. There’s a monster loose that can steal people’s bodies. Out-of-town werewolves are attacking the pack’s friends and relations. Something dangerous is happening to Adam. And Wulfe, who may be the most dangerous thing in town, is taking an unhealthy interest in Mercy.

Smoke Bitten was an enjoyable read, as Birggs’s novels generally are. It is not one of the better books in this series, because it is an episode adrift of the main story. The situation at the end of the novel is just about the same as the situation and the start of the novel. Except that we are one enjoyable read to the good.
